Surfing in the heart of Rotterdam isn’t a sentence you write often. Red Bull Pool Clash 2025 brought a surf event into a city-center pool with an endless supply of waves and judging that rewards creativity, flow, and risk – more a real-time performance than a traditional competition. Lightning Visuals supported the production with live graphics, working alongside our partners at Live Heats.

The format is unusual enough that the graphics carry more weight than usual: with no fixed wave count and a judging system based on artistic merit, the audience needs strong on-screen context to follow what’s happening. That’s exactly the kind of production where real-time graphics earn their keep.
